Children Making a Difference

Kids are indeed great blessings! They teach us things we never imagine they could. And they can do even more than us adults. Hmmmn, now that's a challenge. Now how come we grown- ups don't get to see the brighter side of life? Why do we rant about not having this, & having that? That, only you yourself can answer.

Make a decision to do SOMETHING for others instead of yourself! There are tons of ways to help. Just look around. You'll see people, animals & the environment who need you...

Welcoming the Chinese New Year

I've been to our family's feng shui adviser this weekend. I was astonished to learn things. Hehe! OA!

Anyway, I found out that the quarrelsome star indeed made its impact on my life and my partner late last year. A lot of misunderstandings surfaced, we had a lot of arguments, and what- nots in our relationship. Hmmn, how could I not notice that the charm that was supposed to protect us was missing? Take note next time. But at the end of all the fights, we still remain a couple. Why? Well, supposedly because of the mandarin ducks that's strategically placed on the southwest part of my room. Yes! Thanks to my ducks!

This year we are protecting my health because those born in the year of the pig will face health problems. So take care fellow boars. My adviser also gave my family charms to protect us from negative energy and most especially in guarding our businesses.

2008 will be a great year I'm sure of that. I claim it today and I'm thankful for all the blessings that will abound my family and my personal life. Yahey!

For your feng shui advice and charms, go to Johnson Chua. He's super kind and accommodating. Just bear with the queue when you get to his shop. Don't forget to have your charms energized!

Great Beginnings

I believe in the power of prayer. 2007 was rough but we survived all of the trials that were hurled at us. I know this year will be better. And we will work harder on being better persons for each other. I'm thankful and feel that I have no more reasons to ask for more. I have been blessed with a loving family, more business opportunities, and friends who have taught me to deal with life's twists and turns. Thank you everyone!

God is good. He will make things right for us.

Cheers to more of the good things the world has to offer!

Keeping my Cool

It's almost Christmas but some people never fail to infuriate me. I don't know why some people have to be so insecure and do everything to compete with me. Hey, I don't have to prove myself to anyone anymore alright? People love me for who I am and they will continue to do so because I never pretend to be someone else. I'm sorry but it's not my fault that I am blessed with good things in my life. I need not scream to the whole world of the ongoings of my life because I know where I stand. I hope you stop competing with me because you will never add up to what I am. I'm not being pompous and all but it would be best if you concentrate on building a better you and not make me a benchmark for your ways.

Happy Holidays!

Much love to everyone.

Make My Day

These kids certainly know how to make me say yes to their every whim. They smile sweetly at me and just ask. Why can't adults do that??

Oh well. Anyway, CJ here barges in my bedroom every Saturday morning and jumps up and down on my bed to wake me up. When I say hi, he instantly says, "Andee nuod tayo Ta-moo-moo (translation: Transformers ) Now who could say no to that? Haha! Then we start our weekend movie marathon. I've memorized his favorite movies already. From Cars, The Incredibles, Finding Nemo to Shrek! We spend hours upon hours in front of the telly that my cousin starts giving me the eye. That's when we step out of my room to play with whatever toys we see outside, recite our ABC's, count out loud, and sing songs.

My weekends are priceless!

Venize here on the other hand screams "Andee!!!!" every time she sees me. (Hmmmn makes me wonder if my future husband would by chance be named Andy? Haha!) Anyway, after she's said her hi's and hellos, she starts fishing in my bag. I don't what gravitates children to my bags!! When she has this triumphant look on her face, I know she has found my Samsung spare phone. She then dials furiously and starts a conversation that goes like this:

Venize: Hello, Piolo? Opo. Punta ka sa betday ko ah?
Imaginary Friend: *****
Venize: Oo! Betday ko nga. Sabi ko punta ka eh.
IF (imaginary friend) : *****
V: Dala ka gift ko. Gusto ko dles. Babay! Yey, Ninang punta daw Piolo betday ko!

See how kids entertain themselves? Ayy, grabe! That's not the end of it. If her mom or I doesn't acknowledge what she just declared, she'll throw my phone back in my bag and storm out of the room. Then Peachy and I will have a little time to chat. But Venize will be back in a flash, ready to ask a million questions, touch my hair, ask me to feed her, and practically boss me around! I say yes to every request/ command naman. Haha!

These kids are my constant playmates. They make me stay grounded, thankful, and blessed. I can't wait to have my own. My friends say my kids will be spoiled by me and my family. But hey, who can blame me if ever I choose to do so? Kids will be kids for a very short period only. Might as well enjoy them while they're young
